Reading Aloud with your Children! 

Reading aloud is crucial for children's development, as it builds foundational skills, expands vocabulary and models fluent reading while fostering a love for literature. For more information, check out Reading Rockets.

Purdy’s Fundraiser – November 4^th – Please watch for information on our upcoming fundraiser for Purdy’s chocolate. Sales will begin on the 4^th and will run until around November 15^th. More information to follow.

Purdy’s Fundraiser 

The Friends of Rainbow Falls School Society has begun their holiday fundraiser with Purdy’s Chocolatier. The money raised is used for field trips, special programming, technology, and equipment for our kids to enjoy and enrich their learning. The Purdy’s chocolate letter and ordering instructions were sent home last week or will arrive early this week with your child/children. Please take a look at the incredible selection of chocolates and gift items available. 

You can place your order online by following the instructions below.  

• Go to fundraising.purdys.com 

• Click on the SUPPORT button 

• Our customer number is  30091.   

• Register using the STUDENT’s first and last name, and include grade level and home room (e.g., Jim Smith 3P) 

• *Please do not register under your name or it will register you instead of the student *  

• If you created an account last year, you can sign in with the same login information however you will need to change and update the students HOMEROOM to their current one.  

• Click “Shop Online” in the top menu to place your order. 

• Invite your friends and family to join our fundraiser by clicking on “Share your campaign” in the top menu.  An email can be sent directly from Purdy’s website under your child’s account so that your friends and family orders will be linked to your child. This will make it easier to ensure each order gets to the right person. 

• All orders can be completed using a credit card. 

Online orders only. We will not be accepting cash or cheque payments this year 

The order deadline with completed payment is Friday, November 17, 2023 

Orders will be available for pick up on Tuesday, December 5th from 2:45 - 7:00 PM 

If you are unable to pick up your order, please make alternate arrangements to have someone pick it up in your place.

Remembrance Day poppies will be available this coming week at the school office for donation. All donations will be given to the Calgary Legion. The students will receive a poppy sticker on November 8th

Reminder to Kindergarten parents that Friday, November 8 is an AM day! 

Freezie Friday – Students are allowed to purchase a maximum of 2 freezies at a cost of .25 cents per freezie. Don’t forget your money! Exact change is appreciated.
