Hello Rainbow Creek Families!
The Book Fair was a huge success again this year. It is wonderful to see how excited our students are when they are choosing their next book to read. A special thank you to Mrs. Bell, our Learning Commons Facilitator for all her hard work.
As part of our literacy planning and initiatives this year, we are excited to announce that a group of high school leadership students will be visiting RCE, monthly to help support and promote literacy skills among our students. Thank you to Mrs. Napier, Mrs. Campbell, and Mrs. Forand for your hard work organizing this.
Our volleyball teams are working hard to prepare for their upcoming tournaments. Thank you to Coaches Muir and Diegel!
Walking Field Trip to CLMS – Thursday, October 31 - Grade one and two students will make their way to Chestermere Lake Middle school to enjoy some Halloween events and a musical performance by the band. Thank you to all of our parent volunteers for helping to support this field trip.
Dress-Up Day - Thursday, October 31st - Halloween is just around the corner, and we invite students to wear their costumes to school on October 31st! Please remember that costumes should be school-appropriate: no masks, blood, guts, weapons, or overly scary elements, and students must follow the dress code. We can’t wait to see the creativity of our students in their costumes!
Freezie Friday – Students are allowed to purchase a maximum of 2 freezies at a cost of .25 cents per freezie. Don’t forget your money!
Remembrance Day Slideshow – November 1st – Submission Deadline - If you would like to contribute a photo, please send a digital copy to Mrs. Werner. Please include the name of the person, the student(s) in Rainbow Creek Elementary the person is related to, and the war they participated in or where they served. Email to swerner@rockyview.ab.ca
Inclusion and Diversity Survey - Thank you to everyone who filled out the questionnaire. We are still looking for some more responses.
