Welcome

Back to School: The countdown to the first day of school is on.  We are so excited to welcome back our returning and new students and families. We hope you have enjoyed a relaxing and rejuvenating summer and that you are still soaking up the last few days of summer before the official start of the school year. I am reaching out a bit early to share some important information and reminders ahead of school start up.

Firstly, a brief reminder and introduction to the administrative team of Rainbow Creek.

Lisa Schultz – Principal:
I am honoured and privileged to continue working with the staff, students, parents, and community at Rainbow Creek Elementary school. I learned last year that we have amazing students who are dedicated to their learning, supporting each other, and making RCE a great place for everyone. I am so excited to get to know all our new students and families this coming year. I look forward to serving the needs of staff and students to continue the great work being demonstrated at Rainbow Creek Elementary and to provide our students with a safe, caring, and enriching learning environment. You can expect to hear from me weekly to celebrate achievements and update you on the wonderful events happening at our school. I am looking forward to a year filled with incredible educational moments and opportunities to show how our learning community cares about each other, creates amazing opportunities, grows together, and provides a space where we all belong.

Joe Knight – Assistant Principal:
I am thrilled to be a part of Rainbow Creek Elementary and I can’t wait to get to know you and your children! I love the energy of back-to-school season and I think I speak for everyone when I say that we can't wait to welcome all of the kids back into the building. My goal this year is to ensure Rainbow Creek is the best school it can be so that your children are excited to come to school every day. Our team will work hard to ensure our school has a safe and caring environment so that all kids can care, create and grow!

We are so fortunate to introduce a new member of our administration team:

Kim Larson – Assistant Principal:
I am very excited to join the Rainbow Creek team this fall! Having taught at East Lake School for six years, I am so happy to be returning to the Chestermere community as Assistant Principal. Over the past sixteen years I have had the pleasure of teaching in elementary, middle, and high schools in both public school and charter school settings. When I am not working, I choose to spend time with my family in the outdoors mountain biking, hiking, and camping. I am looking forward to meeting all the students of Rainbow Creek and making connections with our families and our Chestermere community.
