Welcome – August 23
Greetings! I hope you have enjoyed a relaxing and rejuvenating summer and that you are still soaking up the last few days of summer before the official start of the school year. I am reaching out a bit early to share some important information and reminders ahead of school start up.
Firstly, a brief introduction of our new administrative team.
Lisa Schultz – Principal:
I am honoured and privileged to work with the staff, students, parents, and community at Rainbow Creek Elementary school. I have worked in education and for Rocky View Schools for the last 30 years at every level and across several disciplines. I look forward to serving the needs of staff and students to continue the great work being demonstrated at Rainbow Creek Elementary and to provide our students with a safe, caring, and enriching learning environment. You can expect to hear from me weekly to celebrate achievements and update you on the wonderful events happening at the school. It is my hope to engage and empower our students, staff, and community and I am looking forward to a year filled with incredible educational moments and opportunities to care, create and grow.
Joe Knight – Assistant Principal:
I am thrilled to be a part of Rainbow Creek Elementary and I can’t wait to get to know you and your children! I love the energy of the back to school season and I think I speak for everyone when I say that we can't wait to welcome all of the kids back into the building. My goal this year is to ensure Rainbow Creek is the best school it can be so that your children are excited to come to school every day. Our team will work hard to ensure our school has a safe and caring environment so that all kids can care, create and grow!
Here are a few reminders of upcoming events in the next few weeks.
Grade One Open House and Information - Our grade one teachers are looking forward to meeting you on Wednesday, August 28 from 1:00-2:30. Please use this link to schedule a time in Conference Manager for you and your child to attend. We will allow four children per time slot.
Lunchroom Supervisors Needed – We are looking for lunchroom supervisors to support our students and staff during the lunch hour. If you are interested in this casual employment opportunity, please contact the school at 403 273 8129 to arrange a meeting with the principal, Ms. Schultz.
Class lists
Are on the way! We have worked diligently to make classes where we match learning styles, supportive peers and balanced needs. All requests were closed last spring, and most we honoured. A welcome email will be sent to families on August 27, 2024. Please note, changes will not be made.
