Dear Parents/Guardians:

Student Lunch Drop-off : If you are dropping your child's lunch off, we have now put a cart in the boot room just before you come into the office. Please use the provided Post-its and/or markers to label the lunch with your child's name, grade, and teacher. We will bring the cart in just before lunch time where the students will be able to collect their lunch. It is very helpful if you communicate with your chlld that you will be dropping a lunch off for them prior to the start of the day.

The wet weather has helped to reduce the incidents we have had with wasps over the last few weeks. We are grateful that students are less impacted by this issue at recess and lunch. Please remind students to dress for the wet conditions and to be aware that there are several puddles and muddy areas on the playground. Hopefully we still have a few warm days ahead of us.

Volunteer Forms:

Volunteer forms are now ready! Please come to the office and ask one of our office staff for the forms, if you are interested in volunteering at the school this year.

Breakfast Club

We are pleased to announce that our breakfast club is now up and running!  As students arrive in the morning, they can access fresh fruit and granola bars. Carts are set up in the hallways for students to grab and go. We always remind students that breakfast club is for students who are hungry, and we ask that they don’t take more then they need. Ms. Smith oversees the program and wants to thank the Breakfast Clubs of Canada for funding, as well as the volunteer students in grade 5 & 6 who help run the program.

Hot Lunch: Parents/Guardians should have received more detailed information on how to sign up and pay for hot lunch. Please be reminded that Hot lunch ordering opens on September 13th. Hot Lunch ordering will close on September 20th. The first Hot Lunch menu will run each Thursday for eight weeks from September 26th - November 14th.
